In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, I wanted to share my experience with suicide. I’m talking about that time I wanted to die.
If you’ve been following me for a while now, you’ll probably know a lot of this already. It’s been public for a year or so.
However, regardless of long this information has been “put out there,” I think I have a duty to share my experience in the hopes that someone struggling will see this and start talking. I want to normalize conversations like this.
One of my biggest regrets in life was not getting help before this point, but I’m here!
This is my story.
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal ideation, check your local options at medical facilities near you, call your doctor, or please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
There are resources for you. NAMI has options too!
